This 2 X 6 Premium Hone is offered in a Premium Cherry Box to keep your stone safe and secure from scratches and chips. We are making these boxes using quality hardwoods with a superior finish you would be proud to display along with your favorite straight razor.
Our standard hones have their edges beveled (with greater attention given to the honing side) and finished to 400 grit.
Our premium hones also have their edges beveled (again, greater attention to the honing side) and hand-finished to 800 grit. The accompanying slurry stone also has its edges beveled. Premium hones are much more labor intensive to produce. Also the custom made hardwood box does add to the cost as well, Thus, the higher price.
